Last month, I posted about the qualities of a male consultant. Biologically, men and women are not the same, they have different needs and purpose. So, the qualities you might look for a businesswoman consultant are slightly different.
As reminder, the definition of consultant is a person who provides expert advice professionally. A consultant provides expert opinions, analysis and recommendations to organizations or individuals, based on their own expertise. They’re essentially, fixers, serving as objective troubleshooters and provided strategies to prevent problems and improve performance.
1. She is intellectually challenging
You can have real discussion with meaningful topic with her. She will challenge your decision in order to make you come to the best decision for the project.
2. She has class
I’m not talking about good looking or the outfit, but she carries herself with class. That means she has dignity and level of respect that she shows around.
3. She is honest
She will be the one who can tell you when you are wrong. Moreover, she is genuine.
4. She is committed
As usual in a project, there will be good and not so good times, unexpected situations. You can disagree with something but you will go forward if you are committed.
5. She is empathic
She supports you and she is kind. Furthermore, she believes in the project.
6. She is consistent
That means that she is not unpredictable, her personality doesn’t change and you can always count on her to do the right task.
7. She holds similar values
You believe in the same values and have the same perception of the management of a team, project. If you have all of that, everything will go smoothly at work.
8. She is not jealous
Jealousy at work can be a huge thing. Men are more like to show themselves like the boss. But the jealousy between women can create sometimes tension. Also in some workplace, they can be inequality between men and women that can produce jealousy. So, if the consultant can manage that with cunningly, she worth it.
9. She supports your goals
She inspires you that you can be the best version of yourself and be more productive.
10. She remains calm in fights
Like consistency, she can remain calm and calm you down. She can be the peace you need in the workplace.
11. She does not hold grudges
She can forgive when you had a bad day at work and you are a bit harsh with her. The important thing is to move forward that the team can continue their deliveries.
12. She laughs at your jokes
Last but not least, she is also a friend that you can have a good time with her, having that sense of humor to provide that essence at work.
